MYCRO MINIATURE CAMERA MODEL I (CPO)
This model is the very popular MYCRO.
It has the glossy chromium-plated surface or good finished nameplate.
It was not the temporary product like the NEW-model (postwar). All of its appearance and components were redesigned, so it make us feel newness.
This model has many variations because it was made most in the series.
I have in my collection Mycro camera’s 3 different models .
The first one is the camera with the star marks besides the lens ,

12mm winding knob ,no arrow on it
No stamp on the rear cover lock .
And the CPO engraving on the top house.
There is an engraving on the top of the body in the roman alphabets “CPO”; or in Japanese katakana. This abbreviation means Central Purchase Office which existed in Japan during the occupation period. CPO was the section where occupation forces supplied necessities. I heard that the goods for the soldiers of the American occupation forces were tax-free, so the engraving indicated if the item was for CPO or not.(to stop the illegal sales)
